Among the common faults of industrial computers, many are not real hardware faults, but false faults. Paying attention to the following malfunctions of industrial computer will help to quickly analyze and confirm the cause of industrial computer failure, and avoid unnecessary labor and time-consuming fault finding and retrieval.

The wrong fault caused by the power socket and switch not being turned on, several peripheral devices of the industrial computer are independently powered. It is not enough to turn on the main IPC while the IPC is running.

1. If the display power switch is not turned on, it will cause the illusion of black screen and crash

If the power switch of the external modem is not turned on or the power plug is not plugged in, the modem cannot dial, surf the Internet, transfer files, or even recognize it. Printers, scanners, and speakers are all independent power supply equipment. When there is a peripheral fault in the independent power supply, first check whether the power supply of the equipment is normal, whether the power plug and socket are in good contact, and whether the power switch is turned on.

2. The connection line problem caused a false fault

Peripherals are connected to the computer through data cables, if the data cables fall off, poor contact will cause the peripherals to work abnormally. For example, a loose connector of the monitor will cause screen color deviation, no display and other faults. Another example: just because the printer is placed next to the computer does not mean that the printer is connected to the computer, you should personally check that the cables between the devices are connected correctly.

3. Setting errors lead to errors

An incorrect setting is usually considered a bug. For example: the hard disk is not recognized because the hard disk type set is wrong; hardware conflicts are also considered component failures.

4. Improper adjustment of external equipment will cause errors and failures

A monitor that isn't showing could be a messed up line frequency, compressed width, or even just the brightness being turned all the way down; the speakers aren't working. Maybe it's just that the sound volume switch is off, the hard disk can't be recognized, maybe the main one, the second disk skips the location and doesn't understand the details of the surrounding settings, and I try to find some original ideas that don't fill in the partial solution to this problem.

5. Bug bugs with new system features

Many failures are actually new features of the hardware device or operating system. For example, a host with energy-saving function will automatically turn off the power of the display and hard disk when no one is using it or the program is not running, and it will return to normal after tapping the keyboard. If you don't know this feature, you might think something is wrong with your monitor or hard drive. For example, Windows screensavers often confuse people with viruses.

6. False negligence caused by other negligence

Read errors from a CD-ROM can be caused by misalignment of the front and back of the disk: the floppy cannot be written to, or the write protection has simply been slid to the read-only position.
